I am not getting married. Please calm down. I am but a child.
However, I am in fact going to three wedding this summer – yes I am aware, the end is nigh.
And of course, as soon as the invitation landed on my doorstep, actually my boyfriend’s doorstep, the thought of ‘what the fuck are you going to wear’ took over my life.
Now, why this matters so damn much to me I simply have no idea, but my brain has been in overload, and it’s hit a problem…
I have two main looks, much like Scotland only really has two main seasons – arctic frost, and our balmy summers of 17degrees. This means in terms of clothes, I have black for winter, and chiefly white for summer. While this means that I am set for any the black and white parties, greek holidays, and quite frankly funerals – I am in no way prepared for a funeral, I mean wedding.
I am not mentally prepared either. Every single dress I like and put in my little favourites box on ASOS is white, which you simply can not apparently wear to a wedding, or black which makes you look like you are in mourning for the poor couple in question’s relationship – maybe I am. That’s a little pessimistic, but you get my gist.
To be continued…
I haven’t written on any of my blogs for a while, mainly due to the fact that I have felt thematically restricted…
Then I realised, the reason I have so many damn blogs is to syphon off information that doesn’t suit the others. Thus, my new hope, the Star Wars reference is all too intended, is to write what I wish here, and create new blogs for other passions – because who has just one passion?
I may be writing this with definitely more than one glass of Chianti Classico in my system, seriously not to be confused with Chianti of the fiasco domination as I learnt last week on The Wine Show.
In fact, do you know I have just decided that this space will purely be for thoughts, and you can all feck off if you think otherwise.
This could be thoughts on how annoying I find brand search network ads (pointless), or how I wish I could still dress like I did 5 years ago (In fact, expect an article on that soon), but for now it’s just useless words with leftover blogs from years ago.
P.S. Can someone please tell me when they are introducing the new Kendal + Kylie Swimwear line at Topshop? I need to decide to buy one of them or another Triangl bikini. All advice welcome.
P.P.S While finding the link for Triangl I realised they do not run search ads for their brand name – good job guys.
I’m damn sorry for being so predictable. I’m aware that everybody and their mother has a lifestyle styly blog. But it is a Monday, and that means that I am attempting to soldier on with my worthless (insert many other disparaging adjectives here) dissertation, and I need a distraction other than binge watching House on Netflix.
I am currently at my parents as with University, I study at the University of Glasgow by the way, work, and my food blog I never get to see my Mum and Dad, and I like them so its important to me. It’s not a nice day in Glasgow so I thought I would make myself a little pot of tea, and a nice cheese toastie to start the day off. Behind my delicious toastie in the above photo you can, unfortunately, see my dissertation books. I am discussing Hollywood novels of the early half of the twentieth century and their relation with death. Sounds chirpy, right?
Here is a little 8track playlist that I am using to ease the pain.
